REGION, March 16th- Recently the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Union Local 375, Liberty Street in Allentown, signed a labor agreement with TDS Technologies of West Allen Street in Allentown that will provide a unionized computer repair service to local union members and union halls.

According to David Reichard, President of Local 375, the union and the company signed a five-year contract on March 4th. The contract will cover four employees of the company that provides computer service to homes and businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley. Mr. Reichard said hopefully union members will hire his members when they have a computer problem. “It is our hope the full labor community will support this new unionized “geek squad” with any computer solutions they might need within their labor halls as well as individuals members with computer needs at home.”

Local 375 has around 900 members throughout the Lehigh Valley representing construction industry electricians, cable television workers, municipal employees and tech workers.

Mr. Reichard added the agreement includes a letter of assent which makes TDS a signatory contractor with the IBEW with the ability to hire working electricians if the company expands into that industry.
