REGION, October 26th- The International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) Union Local 773 filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Region Four in Philadelphia alleging a Lehigh Valley employer violated the National Labor Relations Act (NLRAct).

According to the Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charge filed by Local 773, Hamilton Street in Allentown, Rahm’s Construction Material Company, Rahms Road in Rahms Pennsylvania, is accused of violated Section 8 (a), subsections (1) and (3) of the NLRAct. The employer is a ready-mix concrete producer.

The ULP was discovered during the monthly review by the newspaper of complaints and petitions filed at the NLRB office. The newspaper is the only local media that reviews both complaints and petitions filed by labor organizations and workers.

“The above named Employer, by and through its agents, has violated the Act by discriminatorily closing its Coopersberg facility and laying off four union supporters during an organizing campaign by the charging party,” stated the ULP.

The complaint states the employer representative to be contacted is Dan Condiles. Mr. Condiles position with Rahm’s Construction Material is not identified on the ULP.

The union alleges the employer has interfered with, restrained, and coorced employees in the exercise of the rights guaranted in Section 7 of the NLRAct.
